In today’s evolving investment landscape, asset owners continue to navigate volatile markets, align portfolios with long-term objectives, and meet regulatory and fiduciary obligations — all while adapting to shifting economic conditions, geopolitical uncertainties, and technological disruptions. The added pressures of incorporating ESG considerations, managing liquidity constraints, and ensuring transparency and accountability further complicate decision-making and performance monitoring.
To address these shared challenges, IMAS launched the inaugural Asset Owner Series, providing a dedicated platform for asset owners to connect, exchange perspectives, and explore collaborative solutions to reduce costs and enhance outcomes. Governed by Chatham House Rules, the session was facilitated by Kevin Bong, Board Director at the Pacific Pension & Investment Institute, who brought deep expertise from his leadership experience at GIC and AIMCo.
The session brought together a group of 10 asset owners including university endowment funds, family offices and sovereign wealth funds and laid the groundwork for continued dialogue and collaborations.
