PURPOSE

The Responsible Investment 101 Programme aims to provide Asia-based asset managers with a foundational education in responsible investing. By taking the course in the programme, participants will be able to understand the latest industry Environment and Social (E&S) practices and articulate their relevance and impact to your organisation.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
  • Articulate the business case for sustainable finance/ESG integration
  • Understand the latest developments in ESG issues and the role of science in ESG integration
  • Identify the relevance of key ESG issues to financial portfolios (risks and opportunities)
  • Understand regulatory developments and industry initiatives and how these affect financial institutions (FIs)
  • Identify key standards and tools for measuring and monitoring ESG performance for corporates and FIs
  • Communicate and engage with clients on ESG approaches
  • Disclose how ESG risks and opportunities are being considered in financing decisions
