LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of the module, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the five key outcomes of the Guidelines on Individual Accountability and Conduct and understand their importance in promoting a sound financial system.

  2. Recognize the roles and responsibilities of senior managers and material risk personnel in ensuring effective governance and oversight within financial institutions.

  3. Understand the specific guidance applicable to financial institutions based on their size, nature, and complexity.

  4. Describe the essential elements of a robust conduct framework that reinforces standards of proper behavior among all employees.

  5. Explain the reporting requirements for material adverse developments to the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
  6. Understand the key MAS notices related to misconduct reporting, what constitutes reportable misconduct, and the reporting process for financial institutions in Singapore.
