Associate Director/Director


This candidate is responsible for taking care of IMAS’ daily operational activities, develop and implement proper operational procedures, improving organizational efficiency, processes such as vendor, membership management etc and make necessary changes to maximize productivity. The candidate will also take care of all HR, Admin, accounting & finance functions within IMAS, as well as conceptualize and implement major industry initiatives of IMAS together with the rest of the team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Change Management: As IMAS expands the scope of our activities, the candidate needs to constantly review and adjust its internal processes, making the necessary improvements to ensure that the Association is well equipped to deal with the changes from an operational, finance, administrative and HR perspective.
  • Technology transformation: Review and automate existing manual processes in the HR, finance and operational functions.
  • Strengthen Internal Controls: Implement and strengthen internal controls, working with external vendors to enhance our IT security, enhancements of IMAS’ operational processes, creating guidelines where necessary
  • Lead Events Coordinator: Work with IMAS committees and team to plan and execute major industry events eg the IMAS Annual Conference & Digital Summit, hire & manage the event planners where necessary, work with the rest of the team to ensure speakers/sponsors needs are taken care of.
  • Office Administration: General office administration eg management of landlord, renewal of tenancy leases, management of IMAS’ vendor & partners etc.
  • Finance & Budget: Work closely with CEO & Treasurer in developing and implementing the annual budget for IMAS, enhancing our cash management and banking solutions. Lead financial close process and reporting to IMAS Treasurer, drive performance reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Human Resource: take care of IMAS’ recruitment and hiring activities, review and update HR processes/guidelines and implement improvements as necessary.
  • Member & Sponsor Management: The candidate will work with team to operationalise the membership and sponsorship acquisition strategy.
  • Education: Manage the operational & finance aspects of IMAS’s education portal iLearn and work with the rest of the team to chart its growth
  • IMAS Committees: Liaise with different IMAS committees and ensure regular committee meetings.

Job Qualifications and Prerequisite

  • At least 10 years of strong operations experience with a good knowledge of finance & accounting.
  • Mature and motivated individual with an agile and flexible mindset, able to reimagine the future of work in asset management.
  • Strong communications skills, able to write well, and adept in stakeholder management
