Carmen Wee is Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Management Association of Singapore (IMAS). She is a veteran of the Singapore investment management industry. Between 2008 and 2012, she was Head of Sales for South Asia at Natixis Global Asset Management. She was also previously Senior Vice-President, Head of Distribution, South Asia, Investment Management Division at Lehman Brothers; and Director, Marketing and Client Services - Institutions at DBS Asset Management.
Before moving into the investment management industry, she was a Deputy Director at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), where she led initiatives to encourage the development of both the debt markets and fund management industry in Singapore following the Asian Financial Crisis. Carmen held the position of Director, Head of Career Services at NUS Business School, and is a co-owner of PhysioMotus, a physiotherapy clinic at Novena Medical Centre.
Wee Yong is Director of the Investment Management Association of Singapore. He supports the CEO in the daily operational activities of the association and oversees its back-office functions.
Before joining IMAS, Wee Yong was a Senior Finance Leader with experience across various industries with APAC focus, most notably in the Professional Services industry. In those capacity, he was a collaborative business partner to Senior Management in providing financial, management, operational and cost strategies support to achieve firm wide and region wide key performance objectives.
Kyo joined the Investment Management Association of Singapore as Associate Director in July 2023. Before joining IMAS, Kyo’s career highlights include teaching under the Ministry of Education, designing and implementing financial sector development schemes at The Institute of Banking & Finance and consulting with business leaders on the people development agenda across industries.
Benedict joined IMAS in June 2019 as a Strategy Analyst to drive and support the implementation of strategic industry development programs to grow and maintain Singapore’s leadership as an asset management industry hub in Asia.
