Investment Management Association Singapore (IMAS) is an association of over 150 leading firms such as Blackrock, Franklin Templeton, GIC, Fidelity, Fullerton, Pimco, Allen & Gledhill, Clifford Chance, Rajah & Tann, as well as KPMG, PwC, Deloitte etc. We bring together the buyside ecosystem and work closely with regulators such as MAS, IRAS, IMDA etc to ensure our asset management industry continues to grow and maintain its leading edge in the world.

We are now seeking a bright young graduate interested to pursue a career in the fund management industry to join the IMAS Secretariat.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The role will expose the graduate to many facets of the asset management industry. He/she will assist senior staff at IMAS to:

  • Conduct market research, analysis of industry data and to support the facilitation of industry development initiatives and engagement with regulators.
  • Conduct and execute strategies relating to research on digitization of the industry, fintechs and start-ups amongst others.
  • Facilitate industry responses to regulatory consultations, which includes reviewing regulatory policy changes, preparing responses, and seeking clarification with all stakeholders, including the regulators.
  • Support the implementation of strategic industry development programs, e.g., training, advocacy, working with fintechs to help the industry digitalise.
This is a multi-faceted role designed to give the candidate significant exposure to many different aspects in the asset management world, including investments, marketing, accounting, legal and regulatory areas. This role will expose the candidate to many different players within the industry.
 
To qualify for the role, the candidate must be inquisitive, self-motivated and enjoy dealing with data and loves to read and write.

Job Qualifications and Prerequisite

  • Up to 3 years of working experience
  • An excellent Bachelor’s degree, preferably, in business, finance or accounting, economics, data/business analytics.
  • Strong spreadsheet and data management skills with ability to distil and interpret different sources of data meaningfully.
  • Strong business writing and communications skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, and MS Outlook.
  • Independent, deadline-driven, highly motivated, positive, and a self-starter.
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to engage with different stakeholders.
