The Team

Meet the individuals from the Secretariat team who support all the engagements and initiatives of the all the various committees within IMAS. The team is responsible to amplify the voices of the collective players in the industry with relevant regulators in Singapore and international government bodies.

Carmen Wee

Carmen Wee
Chief Executive Officer

Carmen Wee is Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Management Association of Singapore (IMAS). She is a veteran of the Singapore investment management industry. Before joining IMAS, she was Head of South Asia at Natixis Global Asset Management. She was also previously Senior Vice-President, Head of Distribution, South Asia, Investment Management Division at Lehman Brothers; and Director, Marketing and Client Services - Institutions at DBS Asset Management.    

Before moving into the investment management industry, Carmen served as Deputy Director at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), where she led initiatives to encourage the development of both the debt markets and fund management industry in Singapore. She started her career at Citibank and JP Morgan where she was involved in fixed income sales.  Outside of fund management, Carmen has many interests, and is a co-owner of PhysioMotus, a physiotherapy clinic at Novena Medical Centre.

Wee Yong is Director of the Investment Management Association of Singapore. He supports the CEO in the daily operational activities of the association and oversees its back-office functions.  

Before joining IMAS, Wee Yong was a Senior Finance Leader with experience across various industries with APAC focus, most notably in the Professional Services industry. In those capacity, he was a collaborative business partner to Senior Management in providing financial, management, operational and cost strategies support to achieve firm wide and region wide key performance objectives.

Kyo joined the Investment Management Association of Singapore as Associate Director in July 2023. Before joining IMAS, Kyo’s career highlights include teaching under the Ministry of Education, designing and implementing financial sector development schemes at The Institute of Banking & Finance and consulting with business leaders on the people development agenda across industries.

Benedict joined IMAS in June 2019 as a Strategy Analyst to drive and support the implementation of strategic industry development programs to grow and maintain Singapore’s leadership as an asset management industry hub in Asia.

A team player with grit and resilience, Chow Ching joined IMAS in 2022 as a Strategy Analyst in charge of FinTech engagement and digital initiatives to drive industry wide change in the Asset Management industry.

Joline joined IMAS in 2022 and is currently a Senior Analyst supporting the Association’s Human Capital and ESG Committees, while also driving IMAS’ communications and PR efforts. Previously, she supported the Regulatory, Risk, Legal committees, and backend operations regarding finance and event operations, playing a key role in advocacy, coordinating consultation responses, organising industry roundtables and forums, and engaging with regulators and members on emerging issues.

To ensure effective outreach to members and external stakeholders, Joline oversees IMAS’ newsletters, LinkedIn presence, and media engagement. She also leads special projects such as the IMAS Climate Handbook and Climate Bot, and contributes to flagship initiatives including the annual IMAS Investment Conference & Masterclass. Actively focused on enhancing membership engagement and retention, she also supports regional and global activities such as IIFA and IMAS’ work with China.

A strong team player with a passion for bridging finance and the arts, Joline brings creativity, organisation, and stakeholder management expertise to her role.
