IMAS held a session on Late-Stage Growth Markets under the Private Assets Series, as part of an initiative by the IMAS Human Capital Committee (HCC). This series was launched in response to findings from the Investment Manager’s Outlook Survey, which revealed that nearly 48% of fund managers identified private assets as a key driver of investment growth in Singapore in 2025. The initiative spanned seven key areas: 1. Private Equity, 2. Real Estate, 3. Infrastructure, 4. Hedge Funds, 5. Natural Resources, 6. Collectibles & Art, and 7. Debt Instruments.
For this session, we were pleased to welcome Xiaying Zhang, Director, Private Investments, APAC, from Wellington Management. She provided an introduction to the main strategies within private equity and private credit, followed by a deep dive into late-stage growth investing. Attendees gained valuable insights into the current market landscape, the rationale for late-stage growth investing, and key trends projected for 2025. The session catered to both institutional investors managing large portfolios and individual investors exploring private market opportunities. Her biography is available here.
