IMAS 20th Regulatory Roundtable

IMAS 20th Regulatory Roundtable

17 Jun 2026

Organised by the IMAS Regulatory Committee and ESG Working Group, the 20th Regulatory Roundtable is an interactive session for members to exchange your views and ideas, on ongoing regulatory topics.

In this session, members discussed the following topics:

  • Transition Planning Guidelines

MAS has published a set of Supervisory Expectations on Financial Institutions (FIs) for Transition Planning for a Net Zero Economy and Practices in addressing Environmental Risks involved. These guidelines outline the processes and strategic frameworks that FIs must undertake to prepare for climate-related risks.

  • Guidelines on Standards of Conduct for Digital Advertising Activities

MAS published the Guidelines on Standards of Conduct for Digital Advertising Activities on 25 September 2025. This guideline applies to all FIs on their digital marketers, including influencers and agencies and establishes 5 safeguards covering platform suitability, clear disclosures, marketer vetting, monitoring, and disciplinary action, with boards and senior management held accountable for compliance.

  • Third Party Risk Management Guidelines

Published in March 2026 by MAS. These Guidelines supersede the current Guidelines on Outsourcing and apply to all FIs engaged in third-party services. Key focus areas include maintaining a register of third-party arrangements, governance and risk strategy, managing the full arrangement life cycle, and overseeing sub-contractors. Implementation is expected to be proportionate to each institution’s size and complexity.
