Our speakers will examine the evolution of the global regulatory landscape in recent times, which as a result of the severe disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, has led to new regulations or in some instances, delays in the effecting of existing or proposed regulations planned pre-COVID-19. The discussion will examine how such changes have/will impact the investment management industry in the Asia Pacific both from a business and legal perspective. Specific topics to be discussed include, inter alia, the areas of OTC, Central Securities Depositories Regulation (CSDR), Securities Financing Transactions Regulation (SFTR), and Shareholder Rights Directive II (SRD II) originating from the EU.
