IMAS 8th Annual Conference jointly organised with the Singapore Investment Forum & IMAS Annual Dinner

The Investment Management Association of Singapore (IMAS) is organizing its 8th Annual Conference in conjunction with the Singapore Investment Forum on Tuesday, 23rd January 2007 at the Raffles City Convention Centre.

The Singapore Investment Forum is an initiative by the fund management industry of Singapore to provide a platform for the informal exchange of views on topical investment and related issues. The Forum was organised by ACI Singapore – The Financial Markets Association, the Investment Management Association of Singapore, the Government Investment Corporation of Singapore Pte Ltd, Bloomberg and Reuters.

The theme for this years conference is, 10 Years after the Asian Financial Crisis – Capturing Returns from Asian Assets. We have gathered eminent industry experts and veterans to debate and discuss cutting edge issues facing the industry today. The speakers for this years conference include Ms Yeong Phick Fui of UBS who will share with us the asset allocation flows of private wealth management, Mr Garry Hawker of Mercer Investment Consulting who will share with us institutional asset allocation, Mr Hung Tran from the International Monetary Fund, Mr Baburaj Pillai who will share with us the Joys and Perils of Stock Picking in Asia, a panel discussion on traditional and alternative asian asset classes and a panel of institutional investors to share their experiences on allocating to Asian assets. We will also be showcasing Asian managers based in Singapore with an Asian Manager Showcase.

This year, there will also be a gala dinner at the end of conference, and our Guest of Honour is Mr Ng Kok Song, Managing Director (Public Markets), GIC.
