IMAS hosted a dynamic lunchtime roundtable featuring key regulatory stakeholders from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) led by Mr Teo Kok Ming, Department Head, Investment Intermediaries Department and Ms Camille Blackburn, Director of Wholesale Buy-side of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

We were pleased to bridge this conversation between our members and the regulatory bodies. A wide range of topics was explored, from the deepening connectivity between the UK’s and Singapore’s asset management sectors to the role of AI and fund tokenisation in driving innovation in our industry.

Participants highlighted the challenges and opportunities of emerging technologies present, particularly in the context of real assets and private markets. Exploring opportunities for cross-border interoperable frameworks and networks, removing impediments to business flows, and potentially harmonizing regulatory frameworks were discussed during the meeting.
