GIPS and Your Asset Management Business
The Global Investment Performance Standards (“GIPS”) celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, and has gone through several rounds of iterations with the latest version being GIPS 2010. The use of GIPS has been growing in the asset management world with about 1,600 firms across the world having adopted GIPS. Eighty-six (86) of the top 100 asset management firms have claimed GIPS compliance. China and Kazakhstan have recently joined as the 40th and 41st GIPS country sponsors respectively.
