The flagship investment conference will set the course for a new era
Singapore, 2 March 2023 – The Investment Management Association of Singapore (IMAS) is co-hosting the IMAS-Bloomberg Investment Conference & Masterclass 2023 on 9 March at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay.
The asset management industry is on the cusp of a new era. Both ESG and private assets are fast growing. Digitalization is inevitable. Risk management has evolved following a series of unprecedented global events. Meanwhile, the predicament of talent shortages is made worse as required skillsets change and expand in tandem with these new trends.
Carmen Wee, the Chief Executive Officer of IMAS said, “The industry needs to be prepared for the imminent structural shift. Adjusting to the multitude of developments is a tall order and thus calls for concerted efforts from all parties in the region. A lot has been said about the “whats” and “whys” concerning these megatrends, but the “hows” is still in lack.”
Over the past years, the conference saw a yearly average of close to 1000 participants from the region’s top buy-side firms and institutions, of which 80% were c-suite personnel.
Leveraging the scale and participants’ profiles, the 2023 edition is specifically structured to stimulate active participations among the industry’s heavyweights, hyper-focusing on granular discussions regarding the said evolving trends.
“An industry-wide reframing will not materialise in silos but through healthy discourses among decision-makers. This year’s gathering is engineered to do precisely that, creating an intellectual melting pot and enabling the most prominent figures to collectively chart a way forward for the asset management industry in Singapore and the region,” Wee added.
The event features an all-star line-up of speakers, notably the Minister for Education, Chan Chun Sing and Managing Director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), Ravi Menon. Besides that, we will also see representatives from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Singapore Exchange (SGX), Fidelity International, Amundi Group, Fullerton Fund Management, The Investment Association from UK, and Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, GIC Pte Ltd.
